CommentsI Have Had A Camper At The Campground For Six Years Boy Has The Campground Grown New Laundry Room, Grill, Saturday night Dance And Best Of All.....The Other People Who Have Campers. Peace From Clinton NC RH and DH
CommentsHey Ms. Karen!!!! Hey Donna and Sandra!!! We really miss you guys!!! Hope to see you really soon!!! For all of you other guys in WWW land Lanier's is truly kid friendly, even with the golf cart rule. It's a wonderful place that kids can play and meet new friends. It's a place that your child can go and everyone knows their name and who they belong to. I personally like the golf cart rule. I've seen too many kids and adults go through the campground without a smidgen of respect for others, and yes, I've called them down and turned them in for violating rules. If the rules are not respected by all, then we all suffer and that's not fair to the ones that do obey the rules. If you don't like the rule, stay home, that leaves more room for the ones who will obey the rules and treat the campground and other campers with the respect that we all deserve. The only thing that really bothers us, is that when we put our boat in for the weekend, there never seems to be enough room to tie it off when we get back from our boat trip. That gets a little frustrating for the campers, especially when we have seen boats that don't belong to a camper in the campground, they are from the surrounding neighborhoods. For the person who wanted driving directions: coming from Jacksonville, head to Wilmington, at the stop light at Holly Ridge, turn left, go about 5 miles (give or take) when you see the bridge turn right at the restaurant (II Beauchaines, if it's still in business) follow the road all the way to the end, it's a little "snakey" but it runs right into the campground. Be sure you stop at the guard shack and check in if there is someone there. From Wilmington, turn left at the stop light and follow the other directions. I love Lanier's campground, it's a great place to get away from it all and enjoy your friends and family. Again, Ms. Karen, WE LOVE YOU!!! You are still a sexy grandma!!!!! HUGS & KISSES FROM ALL OF US!!!!!
Commentswould like site map, photos of campground, driving directions, never been there...
Comments4/4/03 Medford, Mass. My husband and I just purchased a 32Ft. Motorhome in Sarasota, Fla. We flew down too drive the motorhome up the East Coast, in January, just made it before our next snow storm, which we have had many this winter. We are looking forward too traveling, we are planning a trip too Williamsburg, Va. with a group of campers. We joined NAFCA, get the newsletter which is very interesting all the different stories. Maybe one of these days will join you at Lanier. Thank you Doris & Everett, happy camping everyone.
CommentsWe have camped at Lanier's for the past two years in our Pop-up and now have upgraded to a 21ft camper and can't wait to come back again. What a lovely place, very convenient to beaches, stores etc. I was very impressed the first time we camped as we had some rather rowdy teenagers next to us and only one complaint and they were made to pack up and leave. We really thought that our concern wouldn't be heard or just ignored, but action was taken quickly which impressed us and we return due to that very reason. A great place to take my young ones without worry! Angela and Frankie, Benson NC
CommentsI am the proudest grandaughter, neice and daughter in the world. My family runs Lanier's Campground and I am so proud that it is my inheritance. I have college degree and nothing would please me more than to come back home and work for such a great company!!! Love ya~Mrs. Smith
CommentsAre there any campgrounds in the area that are for the overnight camper? All seem to be filled with year-round campers. I find those are not like the overnight campgrounds and become more like "trailer parks". Anyone know of a good campground?

CommentsTo All, Came down last Sat 6/21 late and turned away all sites full! Came back next day to stay! Visited Topsail for 1st time in over 40 years. What a blast from the past. A lot remembered. Got to do some swimming, fishing, excellent eating (hushpuppies), and once got on board experienced Lanier, met some fine people and made some wonderful friends. I may come back to stay. Can't wait! Eric
Commentsany campgrounds available?
CommentsWe are moving from Dayton, Ohio and have stayed at Lanier's with a few friends from Benson, N.C. . We really enjoyed our stay and are planning on moving to the beach somewhere and if any of y'all know of any descent jobs down there please e-mail me at Drewntrissy@yahoo.com i don't even care if it's washing dishes. My whole family has been in the Garner area and my parents and me and sis have been in Dayton ever since. I miss it so much cuz Dayton is kinda like the armpit of America...lol. So instead of moving from one rat race to the next we thought we would go from no extreme to a whole bunch of an extreme. She wants to work at a surf shop and we all know what i don't mind doin'...:) Thanks sooo much, Drew Strickland from Ohiya...lol
CommentsAre there any year-round spots left? And also, are you allowed to attach a small screened in porch to your RV? Thanks ~Somebody who would "love" to be a Year-rounder...
